CRYSTA BOURDON
Crysta offers Labor and Postpartum Doula services.  She is certified CD-DONA by Doulas of North America as a birth doula, is certified as a hypnodoula through Hypnobabies, and is currently studying to teach infant massage. As a mother of three and stepmother of three, she adds life experience to her training and education to provide expectant mothers and their partners with well-rounded services.

By protecting and honoring positive birth wishes she hopes to show women a pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum experience that will become one of their most treasured and cherished memories.  Having attended several births in the Mid-Ohio Valley area, she is well recommended by her previous clients.  Crysta is currently accepting new clients, and is supportive of any woman’s educated, informed birth plan.  She offers help with forming such a plan by providing the necessary resources.  She provides continuous support throughout pregnancy, labor, birth and the postpartum period.

Additionally, Crysta takes an active role in the MOV birth movement by providing social networking events, resources, and information to the birth and parenting community.  She is a Founding member of Mamaology, and currently serves as Community Liason on the Mamaology Board of Directors.  For more information on the services Crysta provides contact crysta@mamaology.com.

DANIELLE BERGUM

Danielle is currently observing labors, at no charge, for support and continuing education.

What does the labor observation include?
As a requirement for CAPPA certification, I am documenting events, the progress of labor, outcome, and anything unique that occurs during this time to gain experience and further understanding of the beauty of birth.
The observation can be just that – me with a pad nad pen observing as the labor progresses.  As I understand the importance of comfort during this time, and have had my own wonderful experience through a home birth, I can participate in your labor and birth with support for the mother and birth partner as much as you would like, or simply observe quietly and out of the way.
