Perinatal Classes

Esali Birth’s standard classes are catered towards both the mother and father providing a vast array of information over a 10-week course structure (2 hrs, 1 time a week) to ensure that each couple is provided with plenty of time to develop questions, gain answers, and feel confident in their choices and forthcoming events.  10-Week series are available in a winter, spring, summer, and fall session, and can be enrolled in up to the start of the class.  Discounts may be available for mid-enrollment and pay-per-class options are available.  Classes are kept small (~5 couples) to increase interaction and ease in the ability of answering questions.  Additionally, Esali Birth is NOT affiliated with any hospital or medical practice, and therefore, is not restricted on the content we are allowed to provide.  We structure our classes so that couples are informed of routines and have the resources available to make informed decisions.

Fathers are highly recommended to attend; however, if they are unable to be present, we strongly encourage bringing a partner that will be providing assistance both during labor/birth and the postpartum period.  Below is a summarized outline of the information you will be provided with during your course. Local students are provided with worksheets to enhance information and granted access to the complete online course for review (and in case they have to miss a class) until they birth their baby.

Fees
A $25 fee is required at the time of registration to hold your spot.  This is refundable up to a week prior to the start date of the class should you need to withdraw for any reason.
Early registration – which is up to 1 month prior to the start date of any series – provides you with a $25 discount.
The standard series is $150/couple and includes a handout packet and access to the complete online series until you birth your baby (or for 90 days if you’re taking the class outside of pregnancy).
Mothers can request a payment plan or apply for a “scholarship” that will allow a reduced fee ($25 minimum) based on their personal situation.  If you are interested either of these options, please note you must register through early registration (1 Month prior to the start date) as these spots are limited.

Additional Course Options

Primaparous Single Sessions – $25/ea.
If you have given birth before and only want refreshed on a few topics, you’re welcome to pick and choose classes from the 10-Week Standard Series to attend. If you can attend a full 10-week series, we strongly suggest the full course for optimal information as the full series goes more in-depth and allows additional time to gain confidence and understanding of normal birth. Students attending two or more classes will also receive access to the online Labor & Birth Overview at no additional charge.

6-Week Series – $100
The 6-week series is an alternative option for students who do not wish to attend the full 10-week course - however, these are only scheduled when another series is unavailable.  Students who are opting for more of a pay-per-class approach during the 10-week course can choose this option to bundle up and save money.  The courses included are Classes 2, 4, 5, 6, 8, & 9 of the 10-Week series – please see outline above for details.
If you can attend a full 10-week series, we strongly suggest the full course for optimal information, time, and access to resources – however, this course does include the complete 10-week series to obtain the additional classes in the online format.
Available in Webinar (Real-Time Online Series) - Contact Us for details.

3-Day Condensed – $75
*Scheduled as Needed
These shortened 3-hour/3-day workshops provide the basics in a format suitable for those who need a lot of information in little time.
Class 1 covers pregnancy issues including care providers, nutrition, exercise, and relaxation techniques.
Class 2 covers labor and birth, touching on aspects such as birth locations and interventions, as well as laboring and pushing techniques.
Class 3 covers variations/complications and pospartum issues such as breastfeeding as well as allows time for a labor rehearsal and questions/answers and discussion.
If you can attend a full 10-week series, we strongly suggest the full course for optimal information as the 3-day course does not allow much time to cover all recommended topics or go in-depth on each subject. Students are also given access to the online Labor & Birth Overview at no additional charge.
